The October 1973 war was called by three names in three countries.. In Egypt it was called the Tenth of Ramadan War, and in brotherly Syria it was called the Tishreen Liberation War. As for the Zionist enemy, it was called the Yom Kippur War. Every child in the world wants to live in peace and tranquility, and here we are from the land of El-Kinana “Egypt”, and through your beloved magazine “Samir” we are sending a message of peace to the whole world.

رسالة سلام
سُمّيت حرب أكتوبر 1973 بثلاثة أسماء فى ثلاثة بلدان .. فى مصر سُميت بحرب العاشر من رمضان، وفى سوريا الشقيق سُمّيت بحرب تشرين التحريرية، أمّا عند العدو الصهيونى فسُمّيت بحرب يوم الغُفران، ولكن الحرب بالنسبة لأى طفل عاش أحداثها وويلاتها فستجده لا تعنيه تلك الأسماء، فكل طفل فى العالم يُريد العيش فى سلام وطمأنينة، وها نحن من أرض الكِنانة “ مصر ”، ومن خلال مجلتكم المحبوبة “ سمير ” نُرسل رسالة سلام للعالم أجمع.
